James Earl Waters

James Earl Waters, 68 died Sunday, May 27, 2018 in Pensacola.

Mr. Waters was born in Ruskin, Fla. and had resided in Flomaton for most of his life. A veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, he served with the U.S. Marine Corp and was an avid coon hunter and member of the Northwest Florida Coon Hunters Association.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m., Friday, June 1, at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bros. Bobby Carnley and Joe Macks officiating. Burial followed at Godwin Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Waters is survived by his wife of 48 years, Tiny Waters of Flomaton; one son, Jamie (Dean) Waters of Flomaton; one daughter, Ashley Lee of Flomaton; three brothers, Donnie Waters and Bruce (Sherry) Waters, both of Flomaton, and Kevin (Lori) Waters of Fairbanks, Alaska; two sisters, Gloria (Jimmy) Weatherford of Atmore and Janie (Terry) Knowles of Century; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Mr. Waters was preceded in death by one daughter, Kim Sims; his parents, Jimmy and Margie Waters; and numerous other family members.
