Edward O’Neil Dawson, 80, died Monday, March 26, 2018 in Pensacola.
Mrs. Dawson was a native and lifelong resident of Barnett Crossroads who retired from Masland Carpet with 32 yeasr of service. He was also a member of the Liberty Baptist Church.
The funeral will be hald at 3 p.m., Thursday, March 29, at the Petty-Eastside Chep Funeral Home with Revs. Tony Richburg and Mitch Lambeth officiating. Burial followed at New Bethlehem Cemetery in Barnett Crossroads with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Dawson is survived by his wife of 50 years, Myrtle Lee Dawson of Barnett Crossroads; one son, Joey (Liz) Carter of Barnett Crossroads; one daughter, Pamela (Kenny Hawthorne) Gavin of Pollard, Ala.; one brother, O’Gwynn (Mary) Dawson of New Orleans, La.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Mr. Dawson was preceded in death by two daughters, Deborah Gray and Victoria Allen; his parents, Charlie and Clara Dawson; two brothers, Douglas Dawson and Gerald Dawson; one grandchild; and one infant great-grandchild.
