Daisy McGhee Long, 86, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017 in Molino, Fla.
Mrs. Long was a native of Huxford and former resident of Pensacola who had resided in Molino for the past 10 and a half years. A member of Central Chapel Church, she was a past employee of Florida National Bank, accounting supervisor with Northwest Florida Blood Bank and retired accounting supervisor with Pensacola Naval Hospital.
The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 27, at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Eloise Stewart officiating. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Long is survived by one son, Winfred (Charlotte) Sims of Molino; one daughter, Patsy F. (Robert) Carter of Panama City, Fla.; one brother, James A. McGhee of Seminole; two sisters, Eunice Pierce of Beulah, Fla. and Eloise Stewart of Rabun, Ala.; 13 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Long was preceded in death by her husbands, James “J.W.” Long and Louis Ray Sims; and one sons, Dale Sims.
