Murder suspect pleads guilty

Two still facing trial for Flomaton murder

One of three people charged with capital murder for the Aug. 12, 2017, murder of a Flomaton couple has pleaded guilty to felony murder and her sentencing date was deferred to Aug. 21, 2024.

Jacqueline Bernice Rolin, who had an Atmore address at the time of her arrest, pleaded guilty last Tuesday in front of Circuit Judge Todd Stearns.

Rolin was then released on a $25,000 signature bond.

Jermaine Lavelle Smith, whose address was listed as the Escambia County Detention Center in Brewton, and Kenneth Joe Lowery, Jr., of Century remain behind bars charged with capital murder.
