Residents inside the town limits of Flomaton and some inside Flomaton’s fire jurisdiction should see a 10 to 20 percent decrease in their homeowners insurance beginning June first after the town’s ISO rating dropped from a 5 to a 4 for the first time in history.

The ISO (Insurance Services Office) rating is done every five years based on three categories: emergency communication center (dispatchers), the water department and the fire department.
