Jay regrouping after prices spike on city's park

$4.5 million project jumps to possibly $8 million over higher costs

The Jay Town Council Monday night approved Dewberry Engineering to determine a plan to downsize its Bray-Hendricks Park renovation due to recent cost increases in construction, following a town meeting Monday night to discuss it.

The town originally had a plan to renovate the 24-acre site for about $4.5 million and has been working for the last two years to raise those funds through grants, loans and legislative appropriations.
