Santa is coming to town, ready or not

Christmas parades kicking off this Saturday

Santa Claus is coming to town and the town of Flomaton is getting ready for his arrival.

The Flomaton Police Department will kick off its ‘Fill the Cruiser’ toy drive campaign Saturday, Dec. 3.

The campaign is designed to provide toys for children in the police jurisdiction and to either donate toys or for more information, call the police department at 251-296-5811. Families needing toys for their children are also asked to call the police department or go to the police department’s Facebook page.

The police department will also be at the Christmas Bazaar on Dec. 10 at Hurricane Park to accept more toys.

The Christmas Bazaar will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Dec. 10 at the park. Breakfast with Santa at the park will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Tickets for breakfast for Santa will be $5 each and can be purchased at town hall. The Christmas Bazaar will feature many vendors and other entertainment. Vendor registration is free, but they need to sign up for spots by calling town hall at 251-296-2431.

Entries into Flomaton’s annual Christmas Parade scheduled for this Saturday, Dec. 3. To enter a float or entry into the parade, call Larry White Insurance Agency at 251-296-2471.

Parade schedule:

Saturday Dec. 3 - 10 a.m., Flomaton, Jay and Monroeville.

Friday, Dec. 9, Century at 5:30 p.m. and Brewton-East Brewton at 6 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 10, Appleton at 10 a.m. and Atmore at 5:30 p.m.
