In its first action since the Flomaton Town Council approved the town’s land use and development code, the town’s planning commission approved a zoning change from residential to commercial on a piece of property owned by First Baptist Church.
During the planning commission meeting Monday afternoon, Daniel Moore, representing the church, told the committee the church was requesting to rezone a lot just north of 601 Palafox Street as commercial to construct a pole barn.
