Flomaton begins its search for a new clerk
The Flomaton Town Council voted to begin advertising for a new town clerk after Carrie Moore announced she was resigning the position effective May 1.
Moore has agreed to accept a position with the Escambia County (Ala.) Commission.
Mayor Dewey Bondurant, Jr., thanked Moore for the job she has done for the town, but told the council there was no way the town could match the salary being offered by the county. He also said he always encourages his own employees at Bondurant Lumber and Hardware to accept new positions if they feel it’s in the best interest them and their family.
