Mardi Gras came to Flomaton's Holt Subdivision as part of a fundraising event to benefit the Garrett family. Above, Matthew and Angel Garrett stand curbside with their son Gentry to welcome beads, candy, stuffed animals and more. Gentry suffers from a rare heart condition and funds were raised to help with medical costs. Below, Sheriff Heath Jackson puts a badge on Gentry's shirt naming him as an honorary deputy. Donations to help the Garrett family can be made at AmeriFirst Bank, where the Gentry Garrett Benefit Fund has been established. See more on Page 11A.
