Students at the Flomaton schools were asked to wear a uniform of the profession they wanted to enter one day as part of the schools' homecoming festivities. Flomaton Police Chief Chance Thompson said he was proud to see the number of elementary school students who came dressed as police officers, FBI agents, undercover cops and SWAT team members. For their efforts, Escambia County Sheriff Heath Jackson gave each student a junior law enforcement badge and Chief Thompson presented them with a certificate of accreditation. "I want to thank Sheriff Jackson and others who joined in this event," Thompson said. "It makes you feel proud that so many children aspire to join law enforcement."
