Brewton man jailed for forcible rape I

Williams arrested; given a $500,000 bond

A Brewton man was jailed on $500,000 bond after being arrested on felony rape I charges after he allegedly forced an unidentified female to have sex with him.

Calvin Lamar Williams, 47, 60 Williams Drive, was recently booked into the Escambia County Detention Center on the rape charge.

According to court records, Williams forced the female to have sexual intercourse by forcible compulsion, which is a Class A felony.

District Attorney Steve Billy said if Williams is convicted of the Class A felony he faces a prison sentence of 10 years to life.
