Timoty Jerome Hammond

Timothy Jerome Hammond, 58, of Century, died Saturday, July 4, 2020.

Mr. Hammond was a lifelong member of the Century community and he was employed by Masland Carpets in the maintenance department and for Cooper Transport. A 1980 graduate of Century High School, where he was a Century Blackcat football player, he was showcased in the Pensacola News Journal in 1979 as 'Player of the Week.' Of the Baptist faith, he was a blackbelt in karate and enjoyed the outdoors.

A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, July 16, with Flomaton Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Hammond is survived by his father, Carl Leroy Hammond of Century; one son, Christopher Hammond of Walnut Hill, Fla.; one daughter, Casey Hammond of Pensacola; two brothers, Larry (Dorie) Hammond and Michael (Selema) Hammond, both of Century; one sister, Penny (Michael) Cooper of Belleville, Ala.; and two grandchildren.

Mr. Hammond was preceded in death by his mother, Jewell Hammond; and an infant son, Joshua Nathaniel Hammond.
