Rose Frogene Normand

Rose Frogene Normand, 81, died Thursday, July 2, 2020.

Mrs. Normand was born Apr. 24, 1939, to E.W. and Estelle Normand in Bendale, Miss. and grew up in Wildfork, Ala., on the family farm. She attended A.D. Kelly Jr. High School in Wallace, Ala. before she transferred to W.S. Neal High School, where she graduated in 1957. A band majorette who was voted 'Most Attractive' by her classmates, she moved to Nashville, Tenn. from Dixonville, Fla. in 1965 to raise her family and worked in banking and finance. She married Leon Bruton in 1982 and made homes in Tennessee, Kentucky and Georgia.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m.,Monday, July 6, at Brewton First Baptist Church with Rev. Cavin Cawthon officiating. Burial followed at Golden Memorial Holiness Church Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral home directing.

Mrs. Normand is survived by her husband, Leon Bruton; former husband, William Lee Golden; three sons, William Lee “Rusty” Golden, Jr., Marlin Craig Golden and Christopher Normand Golden; two brothers, Leo Franklin (Judy) Normand and Charles Alva (Lois) Normand; four sisters, Rowena Hayes, Opal Hearon, Patricia Coffey and Priscilla (Jimmy) Adkisson; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nephews, nieces and other relatives.

Mrs. Normand was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, E.W. “Buddy” Normand, Jr.
