Jones accused of abusing 13-year old girl while the child slept; jailed on $250,000 bond

A 32-year old Atmore man has been jailed on a felony sexual abuse I for allegedly abusing a 13-year old girl while the child was asleep.
Charles Franklin Jones, Jr., who had multiple Atmore addresses listed, was arrested and given a $250,000 bond. Under his bond conditions he is to have no contact with the victim or any child under the age of 18.
Jones was arrested by officers with the Atmore Police Department. The arrest warrant said the alleged abuse occurred on or about Jan. 4, 2020.
The arrest warrant said Jones subjected the child, who is incapable of consent, to sexual contact. The warrant states the child was asleep and Jones reached under her shorts and penetrated her with his fingers. He is also accused of grabbing and squeezing the girl's buttocks.
