Leonard Lynn Peevy, 88, of Brewton, died Friday, April 3, 2020, in a local nursing facility following a brief illness.
Mr. Peevy was born Sept. 10, 1931, to Grover Cleveland and Mamie Lynn Peevy, in Escambia County, Ala., where he was a lifelong resident. A member of the Brewton First Baptist Church, he was a 1950 graduate of W.S. Neal High School who served in the U.S. Army working in the Veterans Affairs Office for more than 14 years during the Korean Conflict and Berlin Crisis.
