Evelyn Marie Simmons, 85, of Flomaton, died Sunday, March 29, 2020, in Brewton.
Mrs. Simmons was born Dec. 15, 1934, to Clarence and Bertha Davidson Wiggins, in Goodway, Ala. She had worked as a restaurant manager and cashier and was a member of the Flomaton Lions Club. She worked with the S.A.I.L. program with the Town of Flomaton and was a member of the Little Escambia Baptist Church.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, April 2, at Flomaton Cemetery with Rev. Jonathan Hill and Rev. Steve Patrick officiating. Burial followed with Flomaton Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Simmons is survived by two daughters, Marie Morris of Jay, Fla. and Lucie (Bennie) Godwin of Millbrook, Ala.; two brothers, David Wiggins of Century and Curtis (Lizette) Wiggins of Atmore; one grandchild; three great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.
Mrs. Simmons was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Simmons; her parents; one brother, Robert Wiggins; and other extended family members and friends.
