Dorothy Ellen “Dot” Nettles, 61, of Atmore, died Friday, March 20, 2020.
Mrs. Nettles was a native of Atmore and 1976 graduate of Escambia County High School. She worked in the food service industry with Waffle House and Walmart in Bay Minette and was a member of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church.
The funeral was held Saturday, March 28, at Longmire-Jones Memorial Chapel with Rev. Alfonzo Hires officiating. Burial followed at Stallworth Cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel directing.
Mrs. Nettles is survived by one son, Derek Thomas Nettles of Huntsville; one brother, John (Cynthia) Nettles of Mobile; one sister, Elizabeth (Lee Roy) Mobley of Atmore; and numerous nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins and other family members and friends.
Mrs. Nettles was preceded in death by her parents, Deacon Thomas and Annie Pearl Nettles; one brother, Thomas Green, Jr.; and one sister, Resa Ann Braxton.
