On Monday, March 30, shortly after 6 p.m., the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission was notified of a boating accident with one person missing.
Tyler Foley, 21, of Pensacola, died when a 10-foot Jon Boat turned over and he and another occupant entered the water at Bluff Springs within the Escambia River Wildlife Management Area. Foley was unable to swim and did not resurface.
The Escambia County Sheriff's Office dive team recovered the body of Foley. The investigation is ongoing.
