Jay man arrested for meth, pills

A Jay man was arrested Feb. 21 and faces a charge of felony possession of a controlled substance charge after law enforcement assisting with a search warrant in reference to a separate incident searched him and found methamphetamine and various pills.

Gregory Connor Weekes, 27, 3462 Highway 4, was detained at a location where a search warrant was being served, according to a Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s office report.

Weekes was searched for weapons and an officer located a small aspirin container in his front left pants pocket. inside the container, along with some pills, was a plastic baggy containing meth, the report said. The pills were identified as Alprozolam and Diazapam and another unidentified redish orange tablet.

Weekes was arrested for one count felony possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and transported to the Santa Rosa County Jail. He was given a bond of $10,000.
