Sara “Tiny” Waters, 66, died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2020, in Atmore.
Mrs. Waters was a native of Atmore who had resided in the Century and Flomaton area for most of her life. She was a member of the Gospel Light Temple Church.
The funeral was held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 8, at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Carnley officiating. Burial followed at Godwin Cemetery with Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Waters is survived by one son, Jamie Waters of Flomaton; one daughter, Ashley Lee of Flomaton; two sisters, Glenda Averett and Elizabeth Johnson, both of Atmore; numerous grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Waters was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, James Earl Waters; one daughter, Kim Sims; her parents, Thomas and Jewell Hanks; two brothers, Thomas Hanks and Kenneth Hanks; and two sisters, Genene Baggett and Mary Griffis.
