Poll workers keep $25 increase

Poll workers for the March 3 primary elections in Escambia County (Ala.) will receive $125 after the county commission voted Monday to add $25 to the $100 per poll worker that will be paid by the state of Alabama.

Prior to the 2018 election cycle, the commission voted to use local money to pay the additional $25 to poll workers. The commission also passed a resolution asking the local legislative delegation to introduce a bill to increase the pay for poll workers. No such bill was ever passed by the Legislature.
