Escambia County (Ala.) offers an opportunity to give blood in Atmore from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 27, at Escambia County High School, located at 1215 Presley Street as patients fighting cancer need more blood than patients fighting any other disease, using nearly one-quarter of the nation’s blood supply.
