A Walnut Hill man is facing a felony sexual assault charge after a juvenile female requesting a work schedule change told authorities because she felt uncomfortable around the suspect, claiming she was sexually involved and claimed to be pregnant by the suspect.
William Isaiah Dunsford, 40, 6406 Rockaway Creek Road, is accused of and arrested for having sexual intercourse with and impregnating a female between the ages of 12 and 18 who was living in his home between April 2015 and June 2019, according to an Escambia County Sheriff's Office report.
A Santa Rosa County sheriff's deputy responded to a possible child abuse at McDonalds on Highway 29 in Pensacola, where he made contact with a manager who advised of a teenage employee wanteding a schedule change, the report said.
The juvenile female employee had requested more hours and later shifts of her supervisor. When the supervisor asked why, the victim said she felt uncomfortable around Dunsford and that he had hit her in the past.
The deputy made contact with the victim, who told him that Dunsford began having sex with her a few months after her birthday. She said it was one to two times per week, sometimes only three to four times a month.
The victim said Dunsford never threatened her, but told her not to tell anyone because he did not want anyone to find out, the report stated.
The victim said Dunsford told the victim he would take care of her and when she turned 18, he was going to divorce and they would be together. The victim said she did not want anything bad to happen to Dunsford because she allows him to have sex with her, according to the report.
The victim told authorities she is currently pregnant but has not been to a doctor. She said her last menstrual cycle was February and that she has had several positive pregnancy tests.
Dunsford told authorities he has never had any type of inappropriate contact with the victim but later changed his story to say they wrestle around on the living room floor quite often and during those times, he accidentally grabbed her breasts, the report said. Dunsford told deputies he treated the victim more like a buddy and includes her in activities such as going to the store, doing chores and taking her to work with him. Dunsford said once or twice a week he goes into her bedroom and lays on the bed with her. He said the two go internet shopping for gifts and that every time he goes into the bedroom to lie on the bed, the victim follows him into the bedroom and closes the door, according to the report.
Dunsford told deputies he could not think of any incidents where the juvenile female would have gotten the wrong idea about something he said or did.
The DCF (Department of Children and Families) sent an investigator and the female victim was removed and placed in the custody of her biological father. She was transported to the Gulf Coast Kids House, where a medical exam and sexual assault kit were performed, the report said. The victim disclosed that Dunsford had been taking nude photos of her on his cell phone and her cell phone. The report said she disclosed to DCF that not only has Dunsford ejaculated inside her but also on her bed sheets.
The victim told investigators that she watched porn on the tablet and guessed that Dunsford had found out and that he started doing that thinking she would like it. Dunsford had reported to the sheriff's office in the past the victim's messaging older men and the victim said after that incident is when Dunsford began to 'mess with her'. She stated that at first, it was just touching and eventually led to more than that and having sexual relations, the report said.
The victim said sometimes Dunsford would take nude photos of her and then deletes them and asks her to take nude photos of herself and send them to him, the report said. She went into detail about the sexual intercourse, stating that Dunsford advised they be quiet so a witness living in the residence would not hear.
The victim stated that the witness does not believe the allegations and that the victim is pregnant by a co-worker at McDonalds. The victim said Dunsford has taken her to buy pregnancy tests for the last few months, the report said.
The report stated that the victim is pregnant, verified through DCF. A FDLE (Florida Department of Law Enforcement) lab report verified two donors of DNA, with at least one obtained from the victim through SAK.
The report said that Dunsford's DNA was present as a possible contributor to mixed DNA profiles obtained from the victim's vagina, external genitals and underwear. An unnamed donor's DNA was also obtained.
Dunsford was arrested on Jan. 26, and charged with one count felony sexual assault by custodian on a victim over 12 and under 18, and transported to Santa Rosa County Jail. His bond was set at $100,000.
