Edward Leigh McMillan, III

Edward Leigh McMillan, III, 60, died Monday, Jan. 13, 2020, in Brewton.

Mr. McMillas was born to Ed Leigh and Mary Anne McMillan in Raleigh, N.C. Growing up in Brewton, he traveled to Dallas County, Ala., Saskatchewan, Canada and South Central Kansas as a nature host and guide, serving more than 20 years as a board member of the Alabama Wildlife Federation, the last two as president. He served on the board of directors of Cedar Creek Land and Timber and was a managing partner of McMillan Holdings, where he managed land and wildlife. He attended St. Stephens Episcopal Church.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 23, at Double “M” Farms in Brewton with Rev. Mike Lumpkin officiating and Craver's Funeral Home directing.

Mr. McMillan sis survived by his wife of 42 years, Perri Rigby McMillan; one brother, Daniel Webster (Kathy) McMillan of Brewton; two sons, Edward Leigh McMillan, IV (Sarah) of Asheville, N.C. and Jonathan Rigby (Melissa) McMillan of Evergreen, Ala.; one daughter, Meredith McMillan (Kyle) Buck of Brewton; and seven grandchildren.

Mr. McMillan was preceded in death by his parents.
