Shirley Ann Bowers Croft, 82, of Brewton, died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2020 in Orlando, Fla.
Mrs. Croft was born April 6, 1937 in St. Petersburg, Fla. and moved from Fernandina Beach, Fla. to Brewton in 1958. A former member of the East Brewton Methodist Church, she was an employee of the Bank of Brewton and The Carriage House before graduating from Troy State University with a teaching degree. She taught at North Brewton Elementery School for two years, then earned an LPN degree and retired as an LPN from Jay Hospital.
A graveside service was held at 2 .m., Sunday, Jan. 12, at Green Acres Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Edwards officiating. Burial followed with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Croft is survived by one son, Lance (Anna) Croft of Oviedo, Fla.; one daughter, Laurie (Don) Croft Martin of Hot Springs, Ark.; two brothers, David Bowers of Orlando and James Bowers of St. Augustine, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Mrs. Croft was preceded in death by her husband, Laurence Larry Croft; one daughter, Karen Croft Tipton; and numerous other family members and friends.
