Holman inmate dead

A Montgomery man serving a life sentence at Holman Correctional Facility in Atmore died Dec. 31, 2019, following an assault the day before.

Moses Robinson, 38, who was serving a life sentence at Holman for a murder in Montgomery County, sustained injuries during an inmate-on-inmate assault on Dec. 30, according to Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) Samantha Banks.

Banks wrote in an email that 'the fatal actions taken against Robinson by another inmate will thoroughly be investigated and met with swift justice.'

The results of a full autopsy will help the ADOC determine the cause of Robinson's death, Banks said. No further information on the incident was available at the time of press.
