Walter Barrett “Jr.” Travis, Jr., 81, died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2019, in Brewton.
Mr. Travis was a lifelong resident of the Brewton area and member of the W.S. Neal High School Class of 1957 who also was a U.S. Army veteran. Of the Methodist faith, he worked for Exxon for more than 26 years and was a member of the Travis Road Hunting Club.
A graveside service was held at 10 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 29, at Travis Cemetery with Bro. Billy Ray Singleton officiating. Burial followed with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Travis is survived by his wife of 55 years, Linda Capps Travis of Brewton; one son, Shannon (Karin) Travis of Pensacola; one daughter, Debbie Mitchell of Brewton; one sister, Louise Stone of Damascus, Ala.; and one grandchild.
Mr. Travis was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Barrett Travis, Sr. and Nellie Massengale Travis; and two brothers, Howard travis and Bobby Travis.
