Mary Frances Smith, 77, died Monday, Nov. 18, 2019.
Mrs. Smith was born Nov. 25, 1941, to Arthur and Inez Johnson Stokes in Georgianna, Ala. A truck driver who had worked at Buster's restaurant for many years, she also owned the Ramblin Rose.
The funeral was held at 12 p.m., Friday, Nov. 22, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Glenn Barnhill officiating. Burial followed at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Saraland, Ala. with Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband of 51 years, Aubrey Smith of Atmore; one son, Aubrey “Sonny Man” (Faye) Smith of Turnerville, Ala.; five daughters, Janet Hayes of St. Stephens, Ala., Judith (Rusty) Zeller of Picayne, Miss., Jackie (Larry) Kiper of Saraland, Ala., Jeannie (Wayne) Crabbtree of Semmes, Ala., and Kimberly Turner of Mt. Vernon, Ala.; one brother, Lester (Naomi) Stokes of Crenshaw County, Ala.; 24 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Kathy Harrison and Angela Stoll; and one brother, Mack Stokes.
