Two Brewton residents who apparently tried to steal a utility trailer loaded with a motorcycle only to see the trailer come loose from their vehicle were arrested and charged with theft of property I and theft of property III.
Brandon Pugh, 26, 1066 McGougin Road, and Kary Nicole Davis, 18, 45571 Highway 31, were both arrested by officers with the Flomaton Police Department.
According to reports, police were dispatched Dec. 7 to a residence on Fowler Lane in reference to the stolen trailer.
The trailer apparently came loose from the vehicle and was found on the side of Fowler Lane.
