Jennie Mae Johnson-Russell, 82, died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2019.

Mrs. Johnson-Russell was born Feb. 27, 1937, to Dallas and Lucille Johnson in Canoe, Ala. She attended the Escambia County schools in Atmore.

The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 30, at Zion Start AME Zion Church in Atmore with Bishop Qullias Mitchell officiating. Burial followed at Fairview Cemetery with Christian Memorial Funeral Home directing.
