Michael Fredrick Tyler

Michael Fredrick Tyler, 67, of Brewton, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2019.

Mr. Tyler was a longtime resident of Escambia County, Ala. Of the Baptist faith, he he retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service as a Technical Sergeant, Radar Specialist and Instructor. He was the fire chief of Appleton Volunteer Fire Department for more that 20 years and presiding President of the Escambia County Alabama Association of Fire Departments for 10 years.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m., Friday Oct. 25, at the First Baptist Church of Brewton. Burial followed at Weavers Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton directing.

Mr. Tyler is survived by his wife, Ginny Tyler of Brewton; two sons, John (Alicia) Tyler of Stafford, Va. and David Tyler of Chicago; three daughters, Jill Cibene of Long Beach, Miss., Katina (Todd) Purvis of Brewton and Tina Mouring of Pearl, Miss.; one brother, Mark Tyler of Mesquite, Texas; one sister, Sharon Bunn of Brandon, Miss.; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Tyler was preceded in death by his parnts, John F. and Charlotte Tyler; and one brother, Jack Tyler.
