Millard Leon Burnham, 92, of Brewton, died Monday, Oct. 21, 2019 in a local hospital fol- lowing a brief illness.
Mr. Burnham was a native and lifelong resident of Escambia County, Ala. A member of the East Brewton First Baptist Church, he served as a U.S. Marine and then joined the Air Force and retired with more than 20 years of service. He then became a fireman at Whiting Field, where he retired with 15 years of service.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 23, at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Watts officiating. Burial followed at Ridge Road Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton directing.
Mr. Burnham is survived by his wife of 53 years, Essie Wheeler Burnham of Brewton; four daughters,
Lynne Burnham Ellis, Linda Burnham Sparrow, Kathy Burnham Hughes and Diane Burnham Yuhasz; four broth- ers, Ralph Burnham, Roy Burnham, Harold Burnham and Joseph Burnham; three sisters, Catherine Burnham Ellis, Inez Burnham Mantel and Mary Burnham Bartlett; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
