The Flomaton Town Council approved a recommendation by the Flomaton Library Board to change the hours of operation at the Flomaton Public Library and eliminate being open on Saturday mornings.
In a letter to the council, Library Director Kaci Boutwell said over the past year there has been a steady decrease in the patrons using the library on Saturdays but an increase in those needing extra time during the week. She noted on some mornings during the week there are people waiting for the doors to open at 8 a.m. and others trying to rush to finish up school work and applications in the afternoon...
