The town of Flomaton's residential garbage collection will switch from Republic Services to Waste Pro following a recent bid opening that leaves the garbage rates the same with no increases for two years.
The council approved the resolution to award the contract to Waste Pro until Nov. 30, 2022. The new contract begins on Dec. 1.
Utilities Superintendent Shaun Moye said Waste Pro will also begin picking up commercial garbage for those that use the standard cans like residences' and that service will be billed through the town.
