Jay High School and Escambia Academy in Atmore are celebrating their homecomings this week with activities during the week and leading up to their Friday night football games.
Jay High School will hold it's Lion's Roar at 9 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 10, in the auditorium with a powderpuff volleyball game at 12:30 p.m. in the gym and a powderpuff football festival at 5 p.m. o the football field. Admission is $2 for JHS students and adults and $1 for Jay Elementary School students.
On Friday, Oct. 11, the pep rally is at 9:45 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the gym. The parade is at 2 p.m. and pre-game festivities begin at 6 p.m. Jay will face off against Freeport at 7 p.m. and the Homecoming dance is from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 12.
Escambia Academy will face off against the Hooper Academy Colts at 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 11. The parade is at 2 p.m. Friday, and floats will be displayed at the stadium Friday night.
EA will have its Homecoming dance immediately after lead-out, which will be around 10:45 p.m. Friday. The cost is $5 per single and $10 per couple.
The middle school dance starts at the end of the football game.
