Marion Denise 'Niecy' White

Marion Denise “Niecy” White, 64, of Atmore, died Sunday, Sept. 15, 2019, at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola.

Mrs. White was a native of Atmore and 1972 graduate of Escambia County High School. She graduated from Alabama State University with a B.S. in business administration and Master's degree from Troy University in Bay Minette, Ala. with a degree in elementary education. A member of Greater Mt. Triumph Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as a Trustee Board Member, a Sunday School teacher, vacation Bible school instructor and member of the Combined Choir, she was employed with the Escambia County (Ala.) Board of Education for 36 years.

The funeral was held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 21, at Greater Mt. Triumph Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Willie Hawthorne and Rev. Donald Ray Parker officiating. Burial followed at Fairview Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. White is survived by one son, Jacob (Genevie) Primm of Tacoma, Wash.; one daughter, Tanisha White of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; three brothers, Donald Ray (Glenda) Palmore of Baltimore, Md., Larry Primm of San Antonio, Texas and Michael (Regina) Primm of Colorado Springs, Colo.; seven sisters, Angela Montgomery, Jackie (Archie) Staples and Emma Primm, all of Atmore, Juanita Primm of Montgomery, Sherry (Rick) Ikner of Jacksonville, Fla., Cynthia (Cordell) Pitts and Janice Primm of Saulsberry, Md.; and numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, classmates and friends.

Mrs. White was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Ethel Palmore; and her grandparents.
