Larry Staten DeWise, 71, died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2019, at Mobile Infirmary.

Mr. DeWise was born Sept. 14, 1948, to Levearn “Boots” and Truddie DeWise in Uriah, Ala. A 1966 graduate of Frisco City High School, he worked for Southern Pine Electric Cooperative for 38 years and was affectionately known as “Chief” to friends and co-workers. A long-tme resident of McGargel, he was a member of the Poarch Creek Band of Indians.

The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 17, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ray Ward officiating. Burial followed at Sowell Old Field Cemet...
