Christmas play auditions set

Brewton Town and Gown Players will be holding auditions for their winter production of ‘A Christmas Carol’, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 29, at the City of Brewton Community Center, located at 1010A Douglas Ave., directly behind City Hall. The play will be directed by Stephen Billy

The performance dates for the show are Thursday, December 19 through Sunday, December 22.

This is a non-musical, there is no required singing at the audition. Scenes from the script will be provided at the audition based on the character a person is interested in being considered.

British accents will be used in the production by all characters, so you will be required to present the scene with an accent. The accent does not have to be perfect for the audition, so please to not be intimidated. We will work on the dialect throughout the process. Please bring any and all conflicts (including dates and times) to auditions for the following dates: October 27 through December 22. Please arrive a few minutes early to fill out audition forms and ask any general questions.

If you are unable to attend the general audition on Sunday, September 29th and would like to be considered for a role, please email Stephen Billy to schedule an alternate date at [email protected]. All roles are available for males and females ages 6 to 85. ‘A Christmas Carol’ is presented by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc., New York.
