Charlie Mae “Tina” Johnson, of Moss Point, Miss., formerly of Atmore, Ala., died Monday, July 29, 2019, at a local hospital.
Mrs. Johnson was known as “Tina” by her family and friends and was a native of Atmore who graduated from Escambia County Training School in 1967. Following graduation, she relocated to Detroit, Mich., where she studied nursing and worked. Later, she moved back to the south and made Moss Point her home.
The funeral was held at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 10, at the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Moss Point. Burial followed at Machpelah Cemetery in Pascagoula, Miss. with Unity Funeral Home directing and Turner Funeral Chapel announcing.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by two daughters, Rachel Johnson of Detroit and Yolanda Flint of Moss Point; and one grandchild.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Willie Mae Johnson.
