Many Americans are probably unfamiliar with a “caste system.” Some may recall from long forgotten Social Studies courses that south Asian societies particularly Hindus subscribed to and some still do to a caste system. A caste system is the vertical stratification of society where mobility between castes is virtually impossible. It can get quite complicated, but in essence it’s a rigid occupational hereditary society. Whatever your parents’ occupation is, you are mandated to follow. Good for the Brahmins at the top, but pretty miserable for the untouchables at the bottom.
Beyond occupation, the caste system is also cultural. Members of various castes are also separated educationally, politically, and socially. They do not dine or shop outside their caste, so societal division is an intended social construct. India continues to grapple with the caste system, but due to technology and social upheaval, it has come a long way.
However, America also has a little noticed caste. Contrary to a caste system, economic and social mobility is one of the unique hallmarks of American society. Regardless of ethnic, religious, racial, or socio-economic status, Americans are constantly moving up and down the social ladder with one glaring exception. Poverty stricken black Americans have been written off as a hopeless underclass and the liberal intelligentsia routinely tries to lump all blacks into the same monolithic misery.
It’s not all neatly divided. There are plenty of examples of black Americans breaking out of poverty because they escape the politically constructed caste, but there is still ample misery for a whole class of people largely ignored by their leaders except when they demand their votes. These citizens are left to rot in mostly urban wastelands but also remote swaths of forgotten rural poverty.
President Lyndon Johnson set the stage for our modern caste with his “Great Society.” Ostensibly a milestone to lift up the poor, it was a millstone to enslave the poor and make them beholden to their masters for pathetic crumbs. Despite all the noble crowing, the premise was poor Americans especially blacks could never provide for themselves.
Incredibly racist, the notion was they were inferior and would always need government assistance. So the federal government implemented a system to decimate the black family. Like a caste, liberals could not see any value in the black family, so they set about replacing fathers with government checks. Strong families are the building blocks of any society, but Johnson sought to create generational government dependence on decaying family structures. He even quipped the “blacks” will vote Democrat for generations to come.
This harsh reality will set Democrats howling! Calling out their patent racism will be ferociously maligned as racist, but the facts remain. Education and infrastructure are woefully neglected in poor black areas. Crime goes unaddressed. Why? Because liberals believe that is simply the way of life for poor black Americans and they will vote Democrat anyway.
Democrats will make plenty of excuses, but the kicker is it is Democrats presiding over this malaise. Elected Democrats have done nothing to help their constituents. What is more racist than writing off the underclass? Do black Americans not want safe neighborhoods and efficient infrastructure? Many poor blacks live with horrible crime, so imagine the cynicism of offering midnight basketball.
Baltimore Congressman Elijah Cummings really stepped in it when he blasted DHS Chief, Kevin McAleenan, for conditions on the border especially for children. Hey Congressman, have you been to your district in Baltimore lately? The rich pathetic irony is conditions for children in Maryland’s 7th District are demonstrably worse than for migrants on the border! The Baltimore murder rate makes Cummings’ constituents eligible for asylum if they could only escape the Democrat caste.
President Trump called out Cummings for his brazen hypocrisy and of course the media circled the wagons screaming racism. But liberals have been calling racism like wolf, so Americans are tired of it. And truth stands starkly before anyone who will look; Cummings and all the race baiting Democrats are the wolves. They have been preying on their people for decades. They can moan, but the rats are still on TV. Schools are still failing, crime is still out of control, and infrastructure is still crumbling.
Trump rightly asked Cummings what happened to the millions in aid for your district. Cummings has no answer. The corruption and racism is breathtaking. No Americans want to live that way, but when your party assigns you to a forgotten caste, it’s almost hopeless. But thanks to Trump’s courage in calling out the real racist charlatans, pray he will end this charade and finally smash the Democrat caste.
