Wilellen Weaver Elliott, 91, died Sunday, July 7, 2019, in a Brewton healthcare facility.
Mrs. Elliott was a native of East Brewton who graduated from T.R. Miller High School, followed by attending business school, where she was recruited to work in the Escambia County Courthouse Probate Office. A Navy officer's wife with a career in Civil Service, she volunteered with the Cub Scouts and Navy Relief Society and organized a library for area elementary schools. She also served as president of Escambia County's Historical Society.
The funeral was held at 9 a.m., Wednesday, July 10, at Craver's Funeral Home with Jennifer Mawhinney officiating. Burial followed at Fort Crawford Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Elliott is survived by two sons, Thomas W. (Danilla) Elliott and Robert B. (Betty) Elliott; one daughter, Lynne E. (Mark) Haller; one brother, Raymond L. Weaver; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Elliott was preceded in death by her husband, David F. Elliott; one son, David P. Elliott; her parents, William W., Jr. and Jessie E. Evans Weaver.
