SAG eyes deal for added revenue

While the details can’t be announced at this time, South Alabama Gas District’s (SAG’s) board agreed Monday to allow the district’s Chief Executive Officer Mark Burgess to pursue a deal that could produce additional revenue for the district.

During the board’s July meeting in Evergreen, Burgess said the project, if it happens, would be very beneficial to all the concerned parties. He said additional information would be available at a later date.

On another matter, Burgess said the state’s project to four-lane U.S. Highway 84 from Interstate 65 in Evergreen to the city’s airport is progressing...
