Katherine McDonald Green, 79, died Friday, June 14, 2019.
Mrs. Green was born Nov. 29, 1939 to William and Louise McDonald in Little River, Ala. While living in Panama City, Fla., she served 10 years on the Usher Board at Mt. Moriah Church, and became a member at Fatih Church when she relocated back to Alabama.
The funeral was held at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 22, at Faith Church with Pastor Leola Cunningham, Pastor Darren James and Rev. Jimmy Prince officiating. Burial followed at Fairview Cemetery with Christian Memorial Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Green is survived by seven children, Donna James of Bay Minette, Katrina (Robert) Taylor, Sammy Green and Johnny Green, all of Atmore, Walter (Sandra) Green, Willie (Cheryl) Green and Anthony (Nicole) Green, all of Panama City, Fla.; two brothers, Saul McDonald and Theodore McDonald; four sisters, Marilyn Knotts, Linda McDonald, Willie Mae Benjamin and Judy Haynes; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces cousins and other family members and friends.
Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Jimmy Lee McDonald; and three sisters, Mary Dortch, Annie McDonald Owens and Helen McDonald.
