More than 300 runners expected for Burnt Corn Creek Run through creeks, swamps

More than 300 runners from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas will be in Brewton this weekend to compete in Saturday's Burnt Corn Creek Run through the woods, through the swap, through the creek and in, out and through some 60 obstacles.
Proceeds from the event will go to Backpack Buddies and Paws Crossed Dog Rescue, Inc.
T.R. Miller High School Track Coach Rob Adkinson said he expects a huge crowd of runners and walkers of all ages.
The 3-plus mile course begins at O'Bannon Park, travels through E.O. Wilson Park and Jennings Park before returning to O'Bannon.
