In April, the Florida Department of Transportation will replace the structurally deficient bridge on County Road 168 over Unnamed Branch, northwest of Century.
The new bridge will consist of two 12-foot travel lanes with 6-foot shoulders and a concrete barrier wall.
The anticipated completion date is winter 2019. The construction cost is $1.9 million.
The project also includes resurfacing the approaches to the bridge, new guardrail, drainage improvements, new pavement markings and enhanced signage.
During construction, traffic may be detoured to a temporary bridge that will be erected adjacent to the current structure.
