Jay's James Eddings and Dylan Phillips will advance to the state weight lifting meet April 13 in Panama City following their success March 29 at the regional meet. Eddings was the regional champion in the 183-pound class with a total of 580 pounds and Phillips was the regional runner-up in the 119-pound class with a total of 385 pounds.
