Dorothy Ward Bell, 91, of Atmore, died Monday, March 18, 2019 in Century.
Mrs. Bell was born April 28, 1927, to Otis Merritt and Lizzie Petty Ward in Harlingen, Texas. A member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, she was a homemaker.
The funeral was held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 20, at Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. Joseph Simpson officiating. Burial followed with Johnson Quimby Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Bell is survived by two sons, James (Marsha) Bell of Atmore and Craig (Regina) Bell of Europa, Miss.; one daughter, Cathy (Ricky) Weaver of Atmore; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Dewitt Bell, Sr.; one son, Lewis Dewitt Bell, Jr.; her parents; one brother, Ray Ward; and one sister, Carmeleita Baldwin McDavid.
