Leola P. Walker, 76, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2019.
Mrs. Walker was born Feb. 3, 1943, to Jessie and Maggie Powell in Castleberry, Ala.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m., Friday, March 8, at Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Duran Odoms officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery with Christian Memorial Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Walker is survived by her children, Sherry (John) Dixon and Henry Walker, both of Brewton, and Willie Neal Walker, David (Debra) Walker, and Janice (Stanley) Stallworth, all of Evergreen, and Lawrence (Crystal) Walker of Fountain, Colo.; two brothers, David (Yolanda) Powell and Donald Powell, both of Castleberry; three sisters, Laura (Richard) Woods of Castleberry, Melissa Finn of Dallas and Evelyn Powell of Huntsville, Ala.; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces uncles, aunts cousins and other family members.
Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her husband, Willie James Walker; one daughter, Elaine Walker; six brothers; and four sisters.
