O'Neal Johnson, 95, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2019.
Mr. Johnson was born born July 23, 1923, to Charlie and Viola Johnson in Buena Vista, Ala. A member of the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Freemanville, Ala., he was employed with Monsanto in Pensacola for 32 years and enjoyed the outdoors.
The funeral was held at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 3, at Bethany Seventh Day Adventist Church with Dr. Dejuan Knight officiating. Burial followed at Stallworth Cemetery with Christian Memorial Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his children, Sherry Johnson, Charlie Johnson and Donald (Marion) Johnson, all of Atmore, and James (Brenda) Johnson and Johnny Mack Johnson, both of Los Angeles, Robert Vincent (Mary Jo) Johnson of Detroit and Mellon Johnson Isom (Mitch) of Mobile, Ala.; three brothers, Woodrow (Elizabeth) Johnson of Chicago, Dewey Johnson of Jackson and Jesse (Sandra) Johnson of Los Angeles; 26 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and other relative and friends.
Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by one daughter, Dorothy Louise Frye; his parents, four brothers, Willie Clyde Johnson, Robert Lee Johnson, Peter Johnson and Deloyd Johnson; five sisters, Ollie Mae Abram, Minnie Jones, Lucille Barnes, Helen Brown and Mary Johnson Reynolds; two grandchildren; and numerous other family members.
